Greetings From the Land of Ice and Snow

If you don't know Burnaby mountain has been experiencing a large amount of snowfall that has cut transit links.

Aliens on Mars, Border trouble in the Middle East, just another day on Planet Earth!

Right, I haven't updated it a while (life tends to get in the way, if I won the lottery tonight, I would devote myself to this blog and just write like crazy!)... SO! I give you food for thought!

ALIENS!!! ON MARS!! Yes, you heard me right! Aliens found on Mars! I mean, check out this picture! What does this mean for the rest of humanity? Has NASA been hiding info from us? What happened to the meteor thingy that was supposed to crash into Mars on the 23, hmmm?

Regardless if animal or human, serve your country! This is a great story, this bear should be given a medal, damnit!

On a more somber note: The Middle East...

o_O Naah... the story says it all.

THE BLOB!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!! AIEEEEE!! ... Can you say Up shit creek without a paddle? XD I am a bad, bad, person >:D

*hits head against wall*

*snerks*

Finally, some pictures!!! Of frogs and other creatures! O_O

And yes, this is a giant salamander!

Heath Ledger is Dead.

Heath Ledger, at the age of 28, was found dead.

So far, the reports are saying He was found surrounded by pills, but... until everything comes back, I refuse to believe that he died of a drug overdose.

I. Refuse.

My deepest, and most heartfelt condolences to his friends and family...

I think I'm gonna go cry now...

My new favourite website!

I love this site! It's so creative and creative! NINJA!!!
And this site! If I were to have a baby, I would so shop here!

AMERICAN IDOL!!!

I realize the show has only been on for two days, but the winner of the 7th season has appeared.

HE is the winner! (his number in Dallas? It was 16216.) He's got that southern charm, appears determined and his voice is amazing! If there's a god, then I pray that he makes it past Hollywood week and is in the top 10! And, well, the number 1 place! I can so see him singing gospel, or Bruce Springsteen ("Oh Mary, don't you weep no more" with the East Street band is amazing!)

Let me tell you, he's got himself a Canadian fangirl here!

BUMBLEBEE!!! and the origins of syphilis!

Alright, I was watching that the TV when BumbleBee showed up. Yes. It looked just like him! Sadly, I went to Chevy's official website and they didn't have him in Yellow ;_; BUMBLEBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

And now, Syphilis! My dad told me about this story and I thought it was really interesting.

Also! as a gift, I give you pictures!

I can smell food cooking @_@

That is all!

Girl Power!

Presidental update!

Hillary Clinton is to appear on the Tyra Banks show *this* friday!

Pictures, Dark Matter and a Tree that can be seen by google, oh my!

First off, some really beautiful pictures from one of our favourite websites, the BBC. I loved the horse picture, but the poor horse!

We now move onto the Dark Matter. There are so many things wrong with this. Isn't there a possibilty that they could create a worm hole? Or, like, by accident, open up a dimensional rift and bring fourth aliens? Does anybody feel a little odd about having Dark Matter in their computers/clothing/windows? What's wrong with a 100% cotton anyway? Or silk! Why do we need heat controlling garments (#4)? Have we, as a society, really sunk so low that we need a tiny computer to tell us that its too hot, or for the shirt to switch on the air conditoner?

CLOWNS! I HATE CLOWNS!!! The People have spoken!!!

This is Fred, my pet python.

And finally, the worlds Biggest Tree! This is, well, a hollywood tree. Live fast, die young *ignores booing*.

Resident Evil 4 Movie!!!

Well, I can dream, ne? I was checking out "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" when I stumbled upon this image.

Yes. You may squeal now.

And, thanks to the fine folks at HEXUS.net(well, more like fine picture XD), I give you.. LEON KENNEDY!!!
Photobucket
*cuddles him* if only Brendon Fraser got a little more mean, then he would make a perfect Leon :D

Imagine! The same tasting burgers every night!

MEAT! Ugh, isn't this like a really twisted form of inbreeding? Sure the meat tastes the same, but... c'mon! Where's the fun in cooking?

Tales from the DarKnight

Welcome one and all! I the attractive and intelligent force behind the throne that is NewsFroggy make my offical debut.
First a note on Serenity:
Serenity was developed after a massive campaign by Firefly fans who were disapointed by the shows cancelation. It was supposed to tie up loose plot points and give us some form of closure, instead it only left us dangling and pissed after the death of Walsh and Shepard Book.
Still Summer Glau is hot ;-)

New Team member!

I wish to welcome new team member JGregory32 to News Froggy! He is my toady will check bad links and report back! (I have a toady! gahahaha!).

The Terminator and the Mona Lisa

I started watching Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles on sunday night and again last night. I am not disappointed. I love this show! Want to know one of the main reasons? It has Summer Glau in it. Summer who? I hear you ask? She was in the sci-fi series FireFly. What? You haven't heard of FireFly? How about Serenity? Thought that might ring a bell. Serenity was the movie adapation of FireFly (god bless Joss Whedon's soul). Summer Glau pretty much plays the same kick-ass role she did in FireFly, except this time she's a littler less insane and a little more... I won't spoil it, but she makes Buffy look like a weak Cheerleader. If River and Buffy were to meet face to face, I doubt that Buffy would survive 5 min. ('cuz ya'know River would just glare and Buffy would fall to her death.)

Anyway, I stumbled upon this article about the young guy who plays John Conner and he says that T3 did not happen... which makes me kinda sad because then Nick Stalh's work was in vain! I love nick Stalh! He's hot! He played a toronto rent boy damn it! But, anybody who has seen the movies would realize the opening of the first episode took place after the 2nd movie.

The Mona Lisa is no more! She is now known as Lisa del Giocondo! I agree, the Mona Lisa is easier to pronounce.

HALF-BREEDS!

OMG! Cat boys and real bunny girls/women!
I think it would be rather interesting for half-human/half-creatures to be around... but... they would then be able to create actual lab rats! Imagine! People with mouse ears, maybe a tail... although they would then be corporation property, wouldn't they? They would be mere test subjects without a voice. That whole "saving humanity" speech... I don't buy it. I think someone in their expensive lab wants to try playing god and create a new species of man.

EDIT: Ooops! Had the wrong link!

Afghanistan Accountant... say whaaaaat?

I just found out this morning that in my profile I am listed as an "Afghanistan Accountant" -_-; Changed that back to its normal settings (this is what you get for mucking with your blog with no caffeine in your system).

Also in the news:

Edible Art! Anybody else remember those old salad dressing commercials where they had little people made from carrots in snow pea canoes?

DEXTER ON CTV!!! BOOYA BABY! Bring him on! Those who have been watching the series on Movie Central will be glad to know the rest of the nation shall soon wallow in the warm embrace of Dexter!

Fighting words! Yay! Jack Layton is finally showing some spine!

10-Billion for transit! But yet we can't afford more hospital beds for premature babies? (I can't find the link on CTV! ARGH!)

This is what you get for letting children watch Thomas The Tank Engine.

Oh god... O_O;

WHAT!? Haven't these guys seen The Return of the Living Dead?

That's all for now!

Presidental candidates

Thanks to such dependable news sources like Wikipedia, I can now tell who is running for the 'top job' of America.

In the Democrats corner, we have:

Hillary Clinton:
Why is the media so hard on her? Is it because she's a women and so she has to work harder, be meaner, be more manly then the other candidates? Doesn't anybody want to see Bill Clinton as "First Husband"?

John Edwards:
the man with the expensive hair cuts.

Mike Gravel:
The man from Alaska. Gotta give him credit! Also, remember this video?

Dennis Kucinich:
The guy with the hot wife... isn't he the same guy with the pocket stuff?

Barack Obama:
I don't really know what to think of this guy. I hear his speeches, I see him on TV, but he doesn't really leave an impression. What I do remember is him saying he would invade Pakistan o_O; Also, the Obama girl. I remember her.

For the Republicans:

Rudy Giuliani:
Former top dog of NY (didn't he have a court show in the early 90's or something?) and now running for the alpha position of America... That's pretty much about it... Oh! His wife always calls when he's fund raising.

Mike Huckabee:
If I was an American, I would seriously consider voting for this guy (mind you I've only seen him on the Colbert Report). When hes in front of the TV cameras, its like he meets your eyes, ya'know? He maintains eye contact, he's relaxed, but he's very determined and you can see that fire in his eyes (If you watch Bush, who never maintains eye contact and only can barely keep a straight face, compare their body language and how long they keep eye contact). I keep getting this feeling that Huckabee believes in what he talks about.

Duncan Hunter:
Who is this guy?

Alan Keyes:
No clue.

John McCain:
I like McCain. He's the underdog of the election (again, from what news reports I've seen on CNN and the Daily Show). He does the same as Huckabee in the way they present themselves.
McCain maintains eye contact, and also believes in what he says.

Ron Paul:
I keep hearing his name tossed around, but can't really put a face to his name.

Mitt Romney:
YES! The Mormon! I think it'd be cool to see him get elected. Just to see what would happen down in the states.

Fred Thompson:
Guy from Law and Order... yeah... that's kinda it...

And here's a shout out to the other parties!
Constitution Party
Green Party
Libertarian Party
Prohibition Party (did they open a time capsule or something?)
Socialist Party
Socialist Workers Party
Unity08 Party (they've backed off, sadly)

Maybe if the Green, Socialist and Socialist Workers parties all combined, they could form a much bigger party.

Love in a seafood chowder

As I was checking the BBC news this morning, I stumbled across this story.

Can you say cute?

The Golden Globe awards (and who should win!)

With the writers strike going full force, the 'powers-that-be' have decided that instead of a show, they will hold a mere press conference instead. You can go to The Golden Globes official website to see who the nominees are (and probably the winners in a few hours too).

After checking the website earlier (and hopping around like a mad rabbit at the candidates), I am gonna pick the ones who I think will win!

For the movies:
Easten Promises
American Gangster
Michael Clayton
Atonement
No Country for old men

Musical/Comedy: (why do they have these two together? Aren't they totally different?)
Across the Universe
Hairspray
Sweeney Todd

Animated Film:
Bee Movie
The Simpson Movie (HOMER!)

Actor in a leading role (Drama):
George Clooney - Michael Clayton
James McAvoy - Atonement
Viggo Mortensen - Eastern Promises
Denzel Washington - American Gangster (I hope he wins, he's a bloody excellent actor!)

Actor in a musical/comedy:
Johnny Depp - Sweeney Todd (I think it'll go to Johnny)
John C. Reilly - Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Actress (Drama):
Cate Blanchett - Elizabeth: The Golden Age
Keira Knightly - Atonement

Actresses in a musical/comedy:
Helena Bonham Carter - Sweeney Todd
Amy Adams - Enchanted
Nikki Blonsky - Hairspray

Actor - Supporting Role:
Casey Affleck - The Assassination of Jesse James by blah blah blah (is this even in theaters yet?)
Javier Bardem - No Country for Old Men
John Travolta - Hairspray
Tom Wilkinson - Michael Clayton

Actress - Supporting Role:
Saoirse Ronan - Atonement
Tilda Swinton - Michael Clayton

Director:
Tim Burton - Sweeney Todd
Ethan Cole and Joel Cole - No Country for Old Men
Ridley Scott - American Gangster
Joe Wright - Atonement
(I think it'll be a toss between NCOM and AG)

Screenplay: (I think I need to have read the scripts to choose one)

Original Score & Song: (Skipping songs as well)

Foreign Film: (I haven't seen these films but I'm gonna guess Kite Runner from the USA)

Now then, for the real awards!

TV series - Drama:
Big Love (I have been watching this series for about 2-3 years now, and I love it! It is on of the greatest shows ever!)

TV series - Musical or Comedy:
Pushing Daisies (This show is a so quirky and unique! It's almost like Monty Python meets Fawlty Towers meets Carnivale)

TV Mini-Series:
The State Within (It has Jason Isaacs in it. Do I need to say anything else?)

TV Actor Leading role - Drama:
Michael C. Hall - Dexter
Bill Paxton - Big Love
(The Tudors was also nominated, but I don't like the actor who plays the King. They should have had Kevin McKidd play King Henry VIII. He would have been excellent for the role! Age, hair style, acting chops, ect...)

TV Actor Leading role - Muscial or Comedy:
Lee Pace - Pushing Daisies (Any person who can say all those lines and keeps a straight face should win)

TV Actor Leading Role - Mini or Television series:
Jason Isaacs - The State Within (Can you say yum?)
James Nesbitt - Jekyll (Anybody who hasn't seen this should. This show, oh god, this show is hysterical! I LOVE THIS SERIES! The man plays 2 roles at the same time! And the roles are so different, its hard to believe its the same guy!)

TV Actress Leading Role - Drama (probably Soprano's(again) so I'll leave this alone)

TV Actress Leading Role - Musical or Comedy:
American Ferrera - Ugly Betty
Anna Friel - Pushing Dasies

And there is 3 other categories, but I haven't seen or watched those shows/series.

I have a few complaints with the choices and lack of choices, why weren't the following series /movies given a chance?
Brotherhood (Makes Soprano's look boring and tired)
Rome
Hotel Babylon
Transformers (GIANT ROBOTS! It should get an award for CGI effects at least!)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (the final battle kicked ass!)
Star Dust (A fairytale for adults!)
His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass

Lastly, why is there no place for horror movies? Or science fiction movies? But then we wouldn't have the Spike Awards and Harrison Ford wouldn't have gotten that Life Time Achievement award.

Discuss.
